Brit Landa, a small town girl born and raised on an island on the west coast of Norway as a farmer. Ever since a child she expressed her desire for acting and took part in every acting projects available in the small communities she lived at. I had the pleasure of working on the upcoming film Loved Ones when I was cast in the leading role of Katherine. The film, which follows the story of Katherine : a recently widowed outlier who is confronted by a malevolent force during a time when Humanity and the world near a certain end, features the struggles and emotional depths Katherine endures while being paralyzed by fear and fighting to survive in a seemingly hopeless world. As the main protagonist in the film, the role of Katherine was extremely challenging, but also an incredible opportunity for me as an actress. I got the freedom to explore and shape Katherine and together with Director Ryan Nichols, she came alive through me.
Being part of Loved Ones reminded me of why I am fighting so hard to make it as an actress, why I chose this life. When I am given a good script and a story to tell I give it my all, it is extremely important to me that I honor the character and the story. Loved Ones granted me huge opportunities and created valuable connections for future work. Working with this phenomenal team fed my motivation and I found myself constantly inspired by their work, talent and dedication.
For me having the opportunity to work and live in LA as an actress, is such an incredible thing that has happened to me. I find myself constantly thinking if this is real or if it will all go away in a blink of an eye, because it can. I therefore work hard everyday to earn my place within this industry, grabbing every opportunity coming my way and holding on to every good connection along my way.
In the time coming I have several projects coming up, non that I can speak of today as there are still details to be settled and confidentialities in place. But what I can say is that they are all incredible exiting projects and you should all keep your eyes on my next move… Grateful for my life!
