Vix: With so much technology at our fingertips, it can be easy to forget how beautiful nature is. The beauty of the world around us often goes underappreciated, but at the rate that humans are impacting the environment, there is no time to waste taking nature for granted.

The 5 best national parks you should visit asap

Minus the people opposed to believing that climate change is real, there is some real fear that the national parks we treasure will one day literally be hot travel destinations as a result of global warming. Here are five national parks that you should get to asap.

1. Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park sits in the Montana Rockies and is known as the crown of the continent. The park has more than 700 miles of hiking trails.

2. Yosemite National Park

When most people think of California, the thoughts are of Hollywood and city life. Before it’s too late you should check Yosemite National Park in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.

3. Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park and all of its seismic and volcanic glory is one of the most well-known parks in America. The 3,500 square-mile national park has a variety of landscapes and environments. There are over 10,000 hot springs and geysers in the park.

4. Everglades National Park

Coastal mangroves, sawgrass, and pine flats down seem like much to look at, but these wetlands are teeming with wildlife. This 1.5 million acres Everglades National Park is at the southern tip of Florida, so after you take in the wilderness perhaps you can soak up some sun on South Beach a few hours later.

5. Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon is easily the most famous canyon in the world. The canyon is 277 miles in length and at its largest points, the canyon is ten miles wide and a mile deep.
