Soap that grows on trees

BubbleNut Wash is a new young social enterprise from Oxford that has created a vegan and organic laundry detergent from a fruit.

For years we have been using laundry detergents that due to their phosphate concentration pollute the rivers and are also dangerous for people with sensitive skins. As Manas Nanda, one of the co-founders puts it "one should opt for soapnuts for the same reason why one should opt for a fresh orange juice instead of a coke".

Irina Fedorenko, the other co-founder explains that they decided to create the social enterprise to provide a solution to an environmental impact and health problems but also to benefit local women co-ops in India who produce and sort the soapnuts.
