Cosmopolitan- Roses, well, one rose, used to mean something. (Sorry, Bachelor, Bachelorette fans). That will soon change when Disney's Beauty and the Beast live action film arrives early next year. To get you even more excited about Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and their musical journey into each other's arms, Disney has released the film's first official poster and yes, it's a major throwback to the rose.
It's beautiful and haunting all at once, since everyone knows what eventually happens to that exquisite and prickly flower. The poster comes weeks after the first teaser trailer made its debut. As you may recall, the clip ends with Belle getting closer and closer to that singular rose. Will she get interrupted? Will she break out in song? Will Emma Watson's singing voice be amazing? (Probably).
Beauty and the Beast, which also stars Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Josh Gad as LeFou, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, opens in theaters March 1
