Logbar, a company dedicated to facilitating communication between devices, has wanted to break the language barriers with ili, a portable voice translator very easy to use perfect to make us understand when we travel.

Ili, Communicate without barriers

It is a small, lightweight and manageable device, the size of a pack of chewing gum, which can be carried in the pocket or hung from the neck with a cord.

To work, all you have to do is bring the microphone to the mouth, press the center button and talk. Once done, seconds later the device will emit the translated voice message through its loudspeaker.

To carry out the interpretation of the message, ili integrates its own operating system, which is in charge of analyzing the audio and translating it in real time. At the moment it is available in English, Chinese and Japanese, but the manufacturer says that soon it will have French, Thai and Korean dictionaries, and in a third wave will also include Spanish, Italian and Arabic.

In addition, it incorporates a lexical library for travel, and the company claims that the service of the device exceeds all existing translation engines.

One of the great advantages of this wearable translator is that it does not need an Internet connection. Given that the device is mainly used while traveling, it is an important point in its favor, since outside the borders of the country of origin is not always easy to find WiFi or 3G.

Although it can work without the Internet, you can also connect to the network to download the latest cloud updates.

Its creators ensure that the Ili microphone is able to recognize the user's voice even in noisy environments and that the speaker is also powerful enough.
