Growing up in Montana, Casey Anderson came to love and appreciate wild animals at a very young age. He found a particular kinship with bears, and so this man known as the “Animal Magnet” has dedicated his life to working with them — and one brown bear in particular.
For over ten years, Casey’s best friend has been an 800-pound grizzly bear named Brutus. It all began when Casey found Brutus laying next to his dead mother in the mountains of Alaska. After rescuing and adopting Brutus as a little cub, he made sure to care for him in the best way possible. When he got too big for the house, Casey established the Montana Grizzly Encounter Rescue and Educational Sanctuary. Here, the two work to educate the public about grizzly bears and how to help get them off the endangered list.
