These terrible events occurred this year in Missouri, USA. A married couple, Derick Boyce-Slezak and Mikala Boyce-Slezak were raising a new baby.
But, they turned out to be the worst kind of parents.
Severe burns
In April, the couple took their 4-month-old baby to the hospital emergency room. Doctors discovered that the child had second-degree burns and a head injury, states ntd.tv
Seized by police
Mikala claimed that the child’s father had dropped their son when he imitated a television commercial.
She also said that he put the baby in the microwave and turned it on for a short period of time.
When the hospital staff heard this, they immediately went to authorities and the couple was arrested by the police.
They have been charged with child abuse and if found guilty, face imprisonment. The child has been placed with social services.
