We all have those days when we get out the wrong side of the bed and have a dark cloud hanging over us all day.

Now mum Esther Anderson has shared the perfect remedy for shaking off the bad mood - a hug from your baby sister.

Anderson, who writes the parenting blog Story of This Life, filmed her daughter Ellia who was crying after waking up from a nap.

As the crying toddler walks into the room, the mother-of-two says: “It’s going to be a long day. It’s already been a long night.”

As Ellia comes over, she sits down and goes to gives her baby sister a hug, which immediately stops her crying.

And as if that wasn’t cute enough, she then turns to her mum and says: “Aww. I love her. I just love her so much.”
