Veo Verde: We’ve seen some pretty impressive, unique and ‘green’ designs in the world of architecture. Today we get a look at what could be the most unique design we’ve ever seen, A Self-Sustaining, Floating Island.
This exceptional design was over 20 years in the making, in which Wayne Adams and Catherine King started building the sustainable, buoyant home together back in 1992. Since then the home has grown, boasting 12 floating platforms, which include a dance floor, art gallery, studio and even five greenhouses.
The interesting creation even features half an acre of land for growing crops, while the couple water from a nearby waterfall during summer and rainwater during the winter. The design was originally powered by 14 solar panels, but then switched to a generator after they broke down.
This invention is really creative and different. You can live with your partner in a place of peace, find their own food and enjoy every day with nature.
Would you like to live in a place like this?
