(Cosmopolitan.com) People can't get enough of beauty's most bizarre trend right now: applying 100 layers of any product and seeing the finished look. It's the craziest thing ever but so fascinating to watch happen IRL.
It all started with Simply Nailogical's nail polish challenge. The trend has taken off in the beauty vlogger world ever since. Next was the beauty vloggers Lily Melrose, Tasha Leelyn, and Mayra took on the challenge with 100 coats of liquid lipstick:
If you thought that picture was scary, unsanitary, and slightly terrifying to look at, then you're in for a treat. YouTube star Jenna Marbles just put all other 100 layers experiments to shame with an ultimate 100 coats of (practically) everything video.
It's literally 100 coats of all the things: NYX liquid lipstick, Smashbox's 15-Hour Wear Foundation, glitter nail polish (on three fingers), St. Tropez Self Tanner (on the same arm), Big Sexy Hair Spray, and fake eyelashes (50 sets for a total of 100 lash strips).
"I want to do this. But I want to do it hard as fuck," Marbles says with triumphant music playing in the background. "Since day one I did not come here to play games. If I'm going to do a beauty video it's going to be the epic mealtime of beauty videos."
Epic and extreme it is. She was equipped and stocked up with towels, ready for game time.
"Everyone please in your hearts say a prayer for my skin, lips, arm, and Beautyblender because we're all going to die today," she asked seconds before beginning her challenge.
